According to the cyber officer of Delhi Police, OTP for making digital payment is received either through message or call on the registered mobile number. Scammers choose the calling option for OTP to make payment from your bank or credit card. Then you are asked to merge the call and after listening to the OTP, money is withdrawn from the account or card. In this call merging scam, scammers call people in the name of job interview or event. They say that their number has been received from one of your friends or acquaintances. After this, scammers assure people that your friend is calling from another number. You can confirm the call by merging it. Actually, this is not a friend.
