A few days ago, a video of self-styled Lord Nityananda at Shivratri satsang went viral. But in the middle of the discourse, due to a technical hitch, it was cut off. No satsangs have been conducted since then, and rumors are rife about where he is. Nephew Sundareswaran released the video In the meantime, news came claiming that Nithyananda passed away two days ago. On Sunday last, his nephew Sundareswaran posted a video in which he stated that Swami Nithyananda sacrificed his life for Hinduism. India Daily Live cannot confirm this independently as news, however. His ashram has also made no comment regarding the reports of his death.
Nithyananda, the founder of Nithyananda Dhyan Peetham, has been on the run since 2019 after escaping India after numerous criminal charges, among them rape and kidnapping. He has non-bailable warrants issued against him. He is also wanted in France for fraud. He declared the creation of the Hindu sovereign state 'Kailasa' in 2020, a declaration that was rejected by experts and media as an imaginary or scam organization.
This is not the first time rumors of Swami Nithyananda's death have appeared. Rumors stated in 2022 that he was facing severe cognitive issues and could not identify people, names or locations. Both of them were under the care of 27 doctors. Nithyananda had then dispelled these rumors through his Facebook page, stating that he was not dead but in a state of samadhi, a state of subconscious, deep meditation.
