New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh and his father, Yograj Singh, are once again in the spotlight after Yograj's recent outburst against former India captain MS Dhoni. Yograj accused Dhoni of cutting short Yuvraj’s international cricket career by several years. In the midst of this controversy, an old video of Yuvraj Singh discussing his father's mental health has resurfaced, going viral across social media platforms.

In the video, which dates back to November last year, Yuvraj Singh candidly spoke about his father's mental health issues during an interview on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast. "I feel my father has a mental issue, and he just doesn’t want to accept it. This is something he needs to address, but he doesn’t accept it," Yuvraj said, shedding light on his strained relationship with his father.

The resurfacing of this video coincides with Yograj Singh's recent attack on MS Dhoni during a podcast. Yograj accused Dhoni of destroying Yuvraj’s career, claiming that his son could have played for another four to five years if not for Dhoni’s actions during his captaincy.

What has Yuvraj Singh said?

"I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done to my son is unforgivable. That man (Dhoni) has destroyed my son’s life," Yograj said on Zee Switch’s YouTube channel. He went on to praise Yuvraj, saying, "I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj."

Yograj Singh has frequently targeted Dhoni, blaming him for Yuvraj's premature retirement from international cricket. Earlier this year, Yograj even claimed that CSK’s failure to win the IPL 2024 title was due to Dhoni’s "bad deeds," and accused the former skipper of being "jealous" of Yuvraj.

Despite the repeated accusations, Yuvraj Singh has maintained a more composed stance, acknowledging his father’s mental health challenges rather than engaging in the ongoing tirade against Dhoni.
