The incident occurred at 10 AM when the woman was waiting for her train to Thane. On Monday, trains were delayed due to waterlogged tracks across the city. As the platform became crowded, the woman slipped onto the tracks and sustained severe leg injuries when the train passed over her.

Swapnil Nila, the chief public relations officer of the Central Railway, stated that a Panvel-Thane train on platform number three at Belapur station was reversed to save the woman’s life. She was quickly admitted to the nearby MGM Hospital by railway police officers, where she is now receiving treatment.
