Viral news: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping industries and becoming an essential part of everyday life. While AI-powered chatbots like ChatGPT have made learning more accessible for students, business tycoon Mukesh Ambani has a word of caution for the younger generation. Speaking at the 12th Convocation of Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Ambani emphasized the importance of using AI wisely while maintaining critical thinking skills.
During his speech, Ambani addressed the role of AI in education and personal growth. "Talking of artificial intelligence, I have a piece of advice for our young students. You must be good at using AI as a tool for learning, but do not give up your own critical thinking," he said. He further stressed the need for individuals to rely on their intelligence rather than becoming overly dependent on AI tools.
Reiterating his point in Hindi, he stated, "ChatGPT ka jarurat se istemal karo, lekin yaad rakho artificial buddhi se nahi, khud ki buddhi se hum age badhenge aur aap age bad sakte hain", meaning, "Use ChatGPT when necessary, but remember, progress comes from your intelligence, not artificial intelligence."
Reliance Industries is making significant strides in the AI sector. Reports suggest that the conglomerate is investing heavily in AI technologies, including purchasing advanced semiconductors from NVIDIA, a global leader in AI innovation. In addition, Mukesh Ambani is reportedly working on establishing the world’s largest data center in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This initiative is expected to strengthen India's AI capabilities and position the country as a key player in the evolving AI landscape.
Meanwhile, the AI race has intensified with the emergence of Chinese startup DeepSeek, which has stunned experts by developing an AI model at just $6 million—a fraction of what its Western counterparts, like ChatGPT, have spent. DeepSeek’s model has demonstrated remarkable performance, rivaling some of the most advanced AI systems globally, raising eyebrows in the tech community.
With AI advancing at a breakneck pace, Mukesh Ambani’s advice serves as a reminder that while AI is a powerful tool, critical thinking and human intelligence remain irreplaceable.
