Six individuals sustained injuries following an incident where a lawyer drove his Mercedes SUV into a popular eatery located in north Delhi on Sunday. The patrons at Fateh Kachori in Civil Lines were enjoying their chaat when the luxury vehicle crashed into the food joint's wall. The entire episode was captured on camera, documenting the chaotic scene.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) MK Meena confirmed that the driver, identified as Parag Maini from Sector 79 in Noida, was apprehended at the scene, and authorities also seized the vehicle involved. Surveillance footage of the incident vividly shows a white Mercedes colliding with individuals standing outside the eatery, causing some to be thrown into the air before they could react.

"In the preliminary medical examination, it was determined that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol. However, his blood sample has been preserved for further analysis as the investigation remains ongoing," stated officer Meena.

The injured individuals were promptly taken to Tirath Ram Shah Hospital, located in Civil Lines for medical treatment and care.

The police have filed a case against the lawyer under various sections of the law, including charges related to reckless driving and causing harm by endangering the lives of others. This incident adds to a series of recent accidents involving luxury vehicles, highlighting concerns about road safety and responsible driving.

In a similar incident earlier, an overspeeding Mercedes-Benz collided with a roadside tea stall in Mohali, resulting in the tragic death of 34-year-old Prakash Kumar. The victim, who had been operating the tea stall for over 15 years, was rushed to the hospital by a labor contractor named Manjit Kumar but succumbed to his injuries en route.

Recounting the incident, Manjit Kumar stated, "Prakash passed away on the way to the hospital. The driver had fled the scene by the time I arrived."

The impact of the collision was severe, causing the rear wall of the stall to collapse while all airbags in the car deployed upon impact. According to police reports, the driver approached from the Chandigarh side and crashed into the stall, further emphasizing the importance of cautious and responsible driving on roads.
