In a shocking incident in Chitrahat, Agra, villagers were unable to rescue a cow being attacked and devoured by a massive python. The 16-foot-long snake reportedly struck the cow in the presence of locals, who were helpless in their attempts to fend off the aggressive reptile. Despite their efforts, the cow was ultimately killed and consumed by the python.

Visuals shared on social media platform X by journalist Naseem Ahmad depict the horrifying scene, where the cow is seen entangled in the python's deadly grip. The villagers were quick to report the incident after discovering the attack, but unfortunately, forest officials did not arrive in time to intervene.

According to Ahmad's post, "The forest department team did not reach the spot after being informed. The villagers had to pull the cow out of the python's clutches using a stick," emphasising their failed attempt to save the animal from its tragic fate.

This incident has raised concerns about the speed of response from local wildlife authorities in the area, as well as the risks posed by large reptiles in rural communities. The villagers' desperate but unsuccessful efforts to rescue the cow highlight the challenges faced when wildlife and human habitats collide.
