Martyred Agniveer's family confronts reporter for lying on 'compensation' as claimed by Rajnath Singh, VIDEO surfaces

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi shares a video highlighting concerns raised by the families of martyred Agniveer. In the video he shared, Rahul said, "Protection of truth is the basis of every religion! But Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lied in Parliament about the assistance given to the family of martyred Agniveer."

In the video shared, Martyr Agniveer Ajay Singh's father can himself be seen telling the truth about their lies. The Defence Minister should apologise to the Parliament, the country, the Army and the family of martyr Agniveer Ajay Singh ji, the caption read.

Amit Malviya shares 12-second clip

In response to the claims made in the video shared by Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) IT Cell, Amit Malviya shared a 12-second video of the interview, where the father of the martyred Agniveer. In the clip, the reporter asks him whether he got Rs 98 lakhs as claimed by Rajnath Singh in the Lok Sabha? He says that yes he did but the reality was that half of the sum was insurance money.

Rajnath Singh vs Rahul Gandhi

Rajnath Singh said in Lok Sabha that the family of the martyred Agniveer got Rs 98 lakh this in response to the allegations latched by Rahul Gandhi that the martyr status of an Agniveer is not equal to an army soldier and they don't receive the same compensation amount of Rs 1 crore. Singh also said, "Agniveer Yojana will not end, it will continue."

Family of martyred confront news reporter for lying about compensation

Furthermore, in reponse to Amit Malviya's claim, President of Indian Youth Congress, BV Srinvivas shared a video in which family of the martyred Agniveer can be seen confronting the reporter. They claimed that the reporter is not showing the entire truth.
