Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta and a man known for his diverse pursuits, recently revealed a new skill on social media. The Meta CEO ventured into the ancient art of swordsmithing and documented his journey to crafting a traditional Japanese katana sword under the guidance of renowned sword master Akihira Kokaji. Katana was used by Japan's samurai for protection and also as a status symbol.

His Instagram feed, typically filled with updates about the ever-evolving world of technology, was suddenly transformed into a showcase of his newfound passion. Photos captured Zuckerberg hammering steel, meticulously following the master's guidance.

In another clip, Zuckerberg can be seen showing his brand-new sword. The 39-year-old shared the post with captions, "Really special afternoon learning about making katanas with master akihira.kokaji -- thank you for sharing your craft with us!"

Fans reacts

The post received over 270,000 likes and triggered a wave of reactions. Some users marveled at his dedication, applauding his ability to master such a complex skill. "Childhood dreams right there," commented one, while another exclaimed, "What can't Zuck do?" Others adopted a lighter tone, reflecting Zuckerberg's known affinity for video games. "The Zuck is doing side quests again," quipped one, while another playfully declared, "You're on the path to becoming a true ninja, first hand to hand combat you mastered now on to the blade!"

Tech mogul's diverse endeavors

But this wasn't Zuckerberg's first foray into the unexpected. Just a month earlier, the tech mogul announced another audacious endeavor of  raising cattle on his Hawaiian ranch with the aim of producing "the highest quality beef in the world." The cattle, a mix of wagyu and Angus breeds, would be fed a unique diet of macadamia meal and beer brewed on the ranch itself.
