Married on father's wish
According to the report of Oddity Central, a man named Kapinga (Mzee Ernesto Muinuchi Kapinga), who lived in a small village in Tanzania, established such a home that he became famous all over the world. The African man currently has 16 wives, 104 children and 144 grandchildren. His is not a home but a whole village, where food is prepared like in a bhandara. It is as if there is a fair going on in the house all the time. Kapinga got married for the first time in 1961 and gave birth to a child. His father asked him to expand the family and proposed that if he married more, he would give him money for dowry.

20 Wives and 104 Children Coexist as a Sisterly Clan
Kapinga's father paid for 5 of his marriages but he did the subsequent marriages himself. He had a total of 20 wives, some of whom died and some left him, yet 16 wives still live with him. 7 of these are real sisters. They say that they married Kapinga because of his good reputation. Each wife has her own house and they cook separately but they farm, work and eat together. This is not a house but a system that works together.
