Mainpuri: Horrible punishment to woman for stealing potatoes, attackers ripped her clothes

In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri, a video surfaced on social media showing a woman from a village in the Karhal police station area being subjected to brutal treatment. In the footage, she is being beaten with a stick and attackers tear her clothes. The video, which went viral on Thursday, depicts a disturbing act of violence that has sparked outrage and condemnation.

Attackers assault women for stealing potatoes

According to reports, the incident occurred on February 29 when the woman was accused of stealing potatoes by a group of individuals. In the video, which was recorded at night, the woman can be seen being brutally beaten by several people with sticks. The attackers tore her clothes while beating her. The woman was rescued when her family members intervened.

Upon learning about the viral video, the police took action and registered a case against four individuals based on the woman's statement and the evidence from the video. The accused individuals have been identified as Narendra Kumar, Rajeev, Deepu, and Krishna Murari.

Further investigations revealed that during the altercation, one of the accused attempted to sexually assault the woman at gunpoint by tearing her clothes. 

Inspector in-charge Lalit Bhati stated that a case has been filed against the accused under various sections related to molestation and other charges. The police have assured that arrests will be made soon, and appropriate action will be taken against the perpetrators of this heinous act.
