According to this law made in 2011, the production, import and sale of lace underwear in the market here was completely banned.

Why is this ban imposed?
The Russian government says that this ban has been imposed with the aim of preventing skin diseases. Lace underwear is mostly made of synthetic fabrics, which are not able to absorb moisture properly. As a result, skin irritation, rashes and other skin problems can occur. This was a step taken keeping health in mind, so that women can avoid these problems.
