New Delhi: A video from Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh has gone viral on social media, capturing a shocking incident where a girl is seen chasing a constable with a stick in the middle of a busy road. The video, which has garnered widespread attention, also shows a boy accompanying the girl, engaging in a physical altercation with the constable. The incident reportedly took place on Rakshabandhan day, and the constable involved is stationed at the Sidhuan police post.

Incident occurs during temple visit

The altercation occurred on the Sidhua-Padrauna road near Padrauna police station. According to the Kushinagar police, the conflict erupted between two groups visiting the Sidhua temple and attending a local fair. When the constable arrived at the scene to mediate the dispute, one of the parties involved turned on him, leading to the violent confrontation captured in the viral video.

Legal action taken by Kushinagar Police

In response to the incident, Kushinagar police issued a statement on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law. Two individuals involved in the attack have been arrested and are now in jail. The police assured the public that further legal action is being pursued.

CO Sadar Abhishek Pratap Ajay provided further details, stating that the incident stemmed from a disagreement between two groups at the Sidhua temple and fair. He confirmed that the police have taken action against those who misbehaved with the constable, ensuring that justice will be served.
