A streak of light was spotted in the sky above Mikuriya Port in Daisen Town, Tottori at around 10 pm on May 11. However, there's no verifiable evidence to support the claim that pillars of light above a Japanese town are connected to aliens. While such topics often generate interest and speculation, it's essential to approach them with skepticism until there's credible evidence.

How the light pillars were seen?

The image of the spectacular light show seemed to show nine pillars of light in the sky. The phenomenon gained traction after it was surfaced on social media. A recent report indicates that the cause of the phenomenon was the fishing lights, despite many conjecturing that it might be something cosmic or extraterrestrial.

The lights were sighted by an X user, who mentioned that lights were seen at a coastal town in Japan. Soon after the images surfaced on social media, it sparked widespread speculation about the origin of the lights.

According to the experts, these cosmic links are a phenomenon which is known as ‘Isaribi Kochu’ translating to ‘fish-attracting light pillars. It occurs when lights from fishing boats reflect off ice crystals in the cool night air. As temperatures drop overnight, large ice crystals can form without precipitation. These lights, are used to attract fish. This reflection results in a series of bright lights in the sky, similar to the vertical pillars that can be seen from the shore as well.
