On June 18, a video of Ankur Choudhary, an influencer, went viral on social media. In the video, the man handed out beer cans while posing in a designated dry area. The incident originated in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, namely in the Kankhal region. As a part of his 30-day beer challenge, Ankur recorded and released the footage.

Ankur and the peculiar tale of beer cans

Ankur was observed standing with a carton of beer cans next to his BMW motorcycle. He gave away the alcohol after taking a shirtless photo with it. Even though he did not give the cans to anyone, he did put them behind the bushes and used his camera to let people know where they could find them.

Police responded after seeing the footage, which went viral. According to reports, they detained the person for breaking the rules by bringing the alcohol into the dry area and serving it to patrons there. It was discovered that the influencer only allowed others to view the content from days two and three of his beer challenge, either by archiving or removing the contentious video from his Instagram page.

More on the reel

He shot a reel on June 19, the day after the beer challenge Day 4 video was uploaded, to apologize for the incident that happened in Haridwar. He said he did not know that Kankhal, the setting for his previous reel, was a dry town that did not allow alcoholic beverages like beer. He apologized after giving the event some thought.

"I am going to give you all a really big update. I refrained from uploading a reel today because the last one I uploaded included a moment in which I was seen drinking beer in Khankal. Sincerely, I had no idea that the location is in a dry zone. "I acknowledge that I made a mistake, but that reel is becoming extremely popular on social media," he posted in Hindi on his Instagram story. "I realize that I did something wrong and should not have done this," the influencer continued. I sincerely apologize to anybody watched the video and for whatever unintentional incident that may have occurred."
