A recent signage mishap by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has stirred up amusement among netizens. The incident involved a board that, due to its design, conveyed a rather unintended and comical message. The sign, which was intended to remind people to follow traffic rules, ended up suggesting something entirely different: "Follow someone home."

The board's peculiar wording caught the attention of an Instagram user, @mollyyyy04, who shared a snapshot of it online. Alongside the image, the user remarked, "Not sure they are getting the right message across."

The complete text on the sign reads, "Follow traffic rules; someone is waiting at home for you." However, the way it was designed caused it to be read as "follow someone home," leading to humorous interpretations.

The post was initially shared on May 11 and quickly gained traction, accumulating over 90,000 views and close to 4,000 likes. It sparked a flurry of reactions from amused social media users.

Reactions from Netizens

One commenter joked, "Things get interesting when someone looks at the sign and starts singing 'Every breath you take' by 'The Police'."

Another individual noted the potential confusion the sign could cause, stating, "Damn! The straightforward meaning might put someone on the wrong side of the law. That's one scenario when one needs to 'read between the lines' to extract the real meaning."

A third commenter humorously pointed out the mismatch between design and message, stating, "This happens when you put a designer in the place of a marketer."
