Hyderabad woman battles 15 stray dogs with slippers | WATCH

Fortunately, it was an adult woman who managed to fend off the numerous dogs. Had it been a child, the outcome could have been far more tragic, as a child would likely have been unable to defend themselves against such an attack.

A woman in Hyderabad's Manikonda area was brutally attacked by a pack of dogs during her morning walk on Saturday. The chilling incident was captured on video and has been widely circulated on social media. In the footage, the woman is seen desperately trying to fend off approximately 15 dogs that surrounded and attacked her.

Attack in Chitrapuri Hills

The attack took place around 6 AM in Chitrapuri Hills, Manikonda. The woman had just stepped out of her residence for her routine walk when the dogs began to attack her. The video shows the terrified woman swinging her arms and using her slipper in an attempt to keep the dogs at bay. Despite her efforts, the relentless pack continued their assault.

For over a minute, the woman fought to defend herself with no immediate help in sight. Exhausted and overwhelmed, she fell to the ground at one point but managed to get back up and continue her fight for survival. Eventually, she moved towards the society gate, where a passerby on a scooter arrived and managed to scare off the dogs.

Serious Injuries Sustained

Although she survived the attack, the woman sustained serious injuries. Her husband later shared the harrowing video on social media, highlighting the increasing menace of stray dogs in the area. He expressed concern over the safety of residents, particularly children, who have also been victims of dog attacks in the recent past.

The woman's husband urged residents not to feed stray dogs, as it might attract more of them and lead to similar dangerous situations. He emphasised the urgent need for local authorities to address the stray dog problem to prevent future incidents, noting that while an adult managed to fend off the attack, a child might not be so fortunate.
