In a humanity-shaming incident from Uttarakhands Chamoli district, a Kalyugi father stole his little daughters honour. In this case, the court sentenced the accused father to 20 years in prison. Simultaneously, instructions have been issued to the state government to pay the victim about seven lakh rupees within one month.According to reports, on April 25, 2021, a 15-year-old minor girl filed a complaint with the Gairsain police station in Chamoli district, accusing her father of rape. He claimed that his father had robbed him of his honour and threatened to murder him if he informed anyone. The police registered a case based on the victims accusation and detained the accused parent and started investigation.After about two years, ten months, and twenty-four days of court procedures, Chamoli District and Sessions Judge Dharam Singh declared the accused father guilty and sentenced him to twenty years in rigorous imprisonment under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act.Special Public Prosecutor (POCSO) Mohan Pant stated that the victims father committed this atrocity while she was only 15 years old. The victim resided in the village with her younger brother, grandmother, and the convicted father. The girls mother had been living away from the family in her parental home for two to three years.During this period, her father made his minor daughter a victim of his lust several times and threatened to kill or sell her if she told anyone. In such a situation, the victim reached Gairsain police station and lodged a report against her father.
