Ujjain: In an unexpected turn of events, a history-sheeter from Madhya Pradesh, has captured attention for an act of profound love towards his mother. Raunak Gurjar, known for his troubled past, made headlines for presenting his mother with a unique gift - footwear made from his own skin. This gesture, highlighting filial devotion, unfolded during the Bhagwat Katha event at the Akhada ground in Ujjain's Sandipani Nagar.
Despite his criminal background and encounters with law enforcement, Gurjar's recent act resonates with deep spiritual reverence. Inspired by his admiration for Lord Rama and his teachings, Gurjar embarked on an extraordinary endeavor. He underwent a surgical procedure to donate skin from his thigh, which was then skillfully fashioned into footwear by a local cobbler.
Expressing his motivation behind the unconventional gift, Gurjar emphasized his regular recitation of the Ramayana and his profound connection with the character of Lord Rama. Quoting Lord Rama's teachings, Gurjar elucidated, "Even making sandals from one’s own skin is not enough for one’s mother." This sentiment prompted him to undertake the extraordinary gesture as a token of his reverence for his mother.
