Gurugram: Uttarakhand woman abused, thrashed by 4 club bouncers over smoking

It is alleged that when the woman's friend lit a cigarette in the club, the bouncers came to the spot and started abusing.

A case of bouncers assaulting a woman and her companions in a club in Gurugram's Sector-40 police station area has come to light. 

Know what happened exactly? 

According to the complaint filed by Dehradun native Aditi, the incident took place at a club located on the service lane of Delhi-Gurugram Expressway near Signature Tower. It is alleged that when the woman's friend lit a cigarette in the club, the bouncers came to the spot and started abusing. The complainant said, she was in the club with her friends. The woman said, the incident happened around midnight when three to four bouncers came. Aditi said in her complaint that the male bouncers tried to strangulate her and threw them out of the club. Due to which she got several injuries on her body. She informed the police about this and called him on the spot.

Police action 

The police has searched the CCTV footage from the club and are currently investigatinf the incident. Inspector Manoj Verma, the Station House Officer (SHO) of the police station, stated that the accused bouncers will be apprehended soon.

Case registered on the basis of complaint

Police said that on the basis of the complaint, an FIR was registered against the bouncers at Sector 40 police station on Thursday under IPC sections 323 (causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (common intention). Inspector Manoj Verma, SHO of the police station, said, we have seized CCTV footage from the club and investigation is underway. The accused will be arrested soon.

Strict action needed in such matters

This type is very frequent in Gurugram or Noida area and this incident highlights the urgent need for stricter regulations and enhanced security measures at clubs and entertainment venues to prevent such violent incidents and ensure the safety of patrons.
