Although trains are one of the most popular public transportation options in India, complaints from passengers over subpar service are also rather regular. There are always a lot of complaints about poor food quality, dirty restrooms, unfriendly staff, and packed trains. Indian Railways frequently makes news for all the wrong reasons as a result of these complaints.

A passenger on a train complained about having trouble getting access to drinking water in one such instance that has now gone viral. The man documented his encounter on social media, sharing a video of it and explaining that when he and a few other passengers asked for bottled water, the train employee turned them away.

Here's what he said!

On Sunday, April 28, X user Abhinav Singh posted a video of his trip via rail. He tagged the IRCTC's official handle and said,  “Struggle for water in Indian railway is for real. I was not alone. 5 more people wanted water. I was about to break the door fir ek ne bottle laake diya!! Pathetic.”

In a video posted to the post, the man can be seen pounding on the train door and pleading with the employee for a water bottle as the other individual makes a motion to ignore him. The passengers appeared to have a heated argument before they were given water. Indian Railways apologized for any trouble caused in the comment area of the X post. In order to help Abhinav further, it also requested his PNR number and contact information. Many social media users responded to his article in the interim by sharing stories that were similar to his.
