Gamini from Kuno National Park adds 5 cubs to Leopard population - Check total count here!

A Union Minister exclaimed, "Kuno, high five!" on X. Gamini Chita, a 5-year-old South African native, gave birth to five cubs today. Following this, there are currently 13 cheetah cubs in India.

News from Kuno National Park has been positive. Five cubs have been born to this female cheetah named Gamini. This information was provided on Twitter by Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav. "High five, Kuno!" the Union Minister tweeted. Five-year-old Gamini Chita, a South African native, gave birth to five cubs today. There are now thirteen cheetah cubs in India as a result of this.

'Congratulations to everyone, especially the forest officials, vets, and field staff who established a stress-free habitat for the leopards,' the Union Minister wrote on Twitter. As a result, cheetahs were able to mate effectively and have pups. With all of the cubs, there are now 26 cheetahs in Kuno National Park. According to Central Bhupendra Yadav, this is the first cheetah family to be imported into the nation from South Africa and the fourth overall. The photo and video of all five of the cubs were posted on Instagram by the Union Forest Minister. All of the cheetahs in this video appear healthy.

Project cheetah! 

The goal of Project Cheetah was to relocate cheetahs to India. Under this, 20 cheetahs were imported in two stages from Namibia and South Africa. Seven of these leopards have perished. In Kuno, 13 cubs have passed away thus far. There was a roar in Kuno National Park earlier this year in January as well. Asha, a female cheetah, gave birth to three cubs here at Kuno National Park.
