To resolve the issue, Swiggy provides Agents Rs 64 Total refund for affected items is Rs 318. Unhappy with the restaurant's response, Sai Teja took to social media to warn others and tweeted: "Do not order from Mehfil Kukatpally."

Also, when Teja tried to raise awareness about Food Safety and Standards in India, he faced problems while filing a complaint on the FSSAI website. He noted: "Even though I entered all the required information, I was still asked to write more details."

The tweet quickly went viral, gaining 66,300 views on X. A user wrote, "Unfortunately today. Don't expect anything less than the low price. No one would be so harsh on the mafia. Don't let other customers eat there. If this is the reason for the injury, is a refund of Rs 64 enough?"

The public outcry over food safety and consumer performance has highlighted the need for tighter control and better management to ensure food, quality and customer safety. In addition, it has raised questions about the adequacy of payments made by food distributors in the event of food contamination, leading to strong calls for consumer protection. Recently, a man from Mumbai found a human finger in his ice cream cone. He complained to the Malad Police station. Another incident caught the limelight when a dead rat was found in a sealed bottle of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup.
