The cooks at Anant Ambani's animal rescue and rehabilitation project, Vantara, in Jamnagar, Gujarat, demonstrated how medicinal laddus are prepared for the elephants who reside there. According to Vantara, the elephants' joint pains are relieved by the sweet goodies. Vantara shared a picture of the unique elephant kitchen on Instagram, where the chefs could be seen preparing laddus, with the caption, "Bringing relief to our elephants, one laddu at a time.

Sweeter power boosters from trunksters! 

When the elephants rejected traditional medicines due to their bitter aftertaste, the Vantara crew began preparing laddus for the elephants. According to Vantara, the elephants would bend their trunks away from the medications. The organization stated, "Our team went out to design a medicine that would heal the elephants and lift their spirits too, recognizing their reluctance."Every day at Vantara, 250 elephant laddus are prepared with ghee, black salt, and jaggery, among other things. According to Vantara, they have ingredients known for their anti-inflammatory qualities.

With every delicious mouthful, this helped reduce our jumbos' joint aches and relax their tired feet. Animal feeding is overseen by a committed staff of nutritionists at Vantara. The mahouts used to feed Laddu to every elephant. At eighty-three, Mahout is the oldest. They provide the recipe. "The necessary minerals and ingredients were added by Professor Petra Wolf, the head of nutrition," Anant Ambani stated in March.
