New Delhi: A surprising incident has come to light from Pakistan where a woman celebrated the end of her marriage by throwing a divorce party.  It shows the woman dancing to a popular Bollywood song that portrays marriage as a lifelong burden. She is dressed in a vibrant purple lehenga, she enthusiastically shakes a leg to "Sheila Ki Jwani" as her friends cheer her on.

This video has sparked debate on social media where some have praised her liberation and joy and others have criticized her for seemingly celebrating the end of her marriage. The video has ignited a discussion on social media with opinions divided on whether her celebration is empowering or disrespectful.

The video was shared on various media platforms including, Instagram, Facebook and X.  On Facebook, it is shared on "My Home Islamabad," where it went massively viral online. It shows the woman's vibrant celebration of divorce. In the video, the woman dancing and being showered with money symbolizes her newfound freedom. 

Although the exact location of the video is unknown, Pakistani news outlet Minute Mirror reports that the woman owns a store in the United States and hosted a divorce party to mark the beginning of a new chapter in her life.
