Delhi police arrests local spiderman from Dwarka, here's why

New Delhi: A surprising incident has come to light from Delhi's Dwarka where Delhi Police arrested a youth dressed as 'Spider-Man' for violating traffic regulations. Spider-Man is identified as a 20-year-old man named Aditya from Najafgarh. The incident occurred on Dwarka Road, where Aditya was spotted sitting on the bonnet of a car. The arrest came after authorities received a complaint on social media about the vehicle, which was being driven by 19-year-old Gaurav Singh from Mahavir Enclave. Both Aditya and Gaurav Singh have been charged in connection with the incident.

Both Aditya and Gaurav were charged with reckless driving, pollution certificate violation and not wearing seat belts. The penalties for this infringement could amount to a maximum fine of Rs. 26,000 or imprisonment.

Spider-Man and spider-Woman 

Aditya with her girlfriend dressed as Spider-Man and Spider-Woman, were charged with multiple offenses under the Motor Vehicle Act for performing reckless motorcycle stunts on Dwarka streets. The charges included riding without helmets, failing to display a number plate, and not having a rearview mirror

A senior police officer stated "Two persons were riding a bike and wearing Spiderman costumes. An inquiry into the matter was conducted and the riders have been booked under sections different sections of the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act for offenses without a helmet, without a mirror, without a license, dangerous driving and not displaying a number plate, etc."

Meanwhile, a woman, 74 years old, died after being struck by a car in Rajouri Garden, and the police have taken the driver, also a woman, into custody.

Hit-and-run tragedy 

Amarjit Kaur, a homemaker from Nihal Vihar, who had recently lost her husband Hardeep Singh was fatally struck by a speeding car while shopping near pillar number 412 on Najafgarh Road. Police responded to the scene, finding Kaur injured and a parked car, however, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. 

Witnesses described hearing a loud crash and seeing the driver flee before authorities arrived. Investigations suggest that the driver lost control of the vehicle who was travelling at high speed. Multiple teams have been formed to apprehend the suspect and CCTV footage is being reviewed to determine the escape route.
