In Delhi's Dabri area, a man residing with his live-in partner allegedly beat her to death and hid her body in an almirah before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred around 10:40 PM on Wednesday night in Rajapuri locality of Dabri, where the police were alerted to the murder of a young woman.

Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered the victim's body concealed in a cupboard. The deceased's father, Mustaqeem, revealed that his daughter worked in Surat, Gujarat, and had a work acquaintance named Vipul Taylor, who also hailed from Meerut.

The two developed a friendship, leading them to relocate to Delhi about a month and a half ago. This information was relayed to her parents by the victim herself during a phone call.

Victim's phone call

It was also revealed that before the murder, the victim had conversed with her father over the phone on Wednesday morning, during which she was crying. She expressed regret over her decision to live with Vipul, alleging that he subjected her to physical abuse.

Suspicious disappearance

Moreover, her phone had been switched off since Wednesday evening, despite multiple attempts to contact her. Consequently, the victim's father and brother traveled to Delhi on Wednesday, where they discovered their daughter's lifeless body inside her flat. According to the victim's father, his daughter was strangled to death.

Evidence of dispute

Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple often had disagreements, evident from the scattered belongings in the flat and the victim bearing 15-16 injury marks on her body.

The accused strangled the victim to death and left her body in the cupboard. However, due to the cupboard not closing properly, the accused fled the scene.

Further investigations revealed that the victim was previously married and had a daughter whom she had left with her ex-husband before coming to live with Vipul.

Conflict over her daughter

However, Vipul was not prepared to accept her daughter, leading to frequent disputes between them. Police suspect that an altercation ensued between them on Wednesday, resulting in Vipul murdering Rukhsar by strangulation. Currently, the police have registered a case and sent Rukhsar's body for post-mortem. They are conducting raids to apprehend the accused.
