A dramatic incident unfolded at the Taj Mahal when a two-year-old girl from Karnataka was saved by quick-thinking medical personnel after she lost consciousness. The toddler, Aayza from Belagavi, was visiting the historic site with her parents when she suddenly fell ill on Monday.

The incident occurred when Aayza became inconsolable after being separated from her mother briefly. Her uncontrollable crying led to a sudden health crisis where she stopped moving and appeared to lose consciousness. CISF personnel, present at the site, promptly transported her to the Taj Mahal dispensary.

Lifesaving Efforts by Dr. Rinku Baghel

At the dispensary, Dr. Rinku Baghel immediately performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on the unresponsive child. The timely intervention was successful, and Aayza regained consciousness. "The girl's parents were distressed as she had fallen unconscious while crying profusely. She was administered CPR and then immediately shifted by ambulance to a private hospital. Her condition has since improved," said Dr. Baghel, the attending physician at the Taj Mahal dispensary.

Suspected Cause: Hypoxia from Excessive Crying

Dr. Baghel explained that the suspected cause of the incident was hypoxia resulting from excessive crying. "Often, when a child cries excessively, oxygen fails to reach the brain, leading to such a condition," he added. This medical insight underscores the importance of rapid response in such emergencies.
