Viral News: While Ranveer Allahbadia faces multiple FIRs for his controversial remarks on the show India's Got Latent, other comedians are weighing in on the matter. Comedian Gaurav Kapoor, known for his quick wit, shared his thoughts during a recent stand-up performance, addressing the controversy and the rush to apologize that followed it. Kapoor expressed that the entire situation had been blown out of proportion. "Arre bhai kya bhasad hogai yaar. Itni badi bhasad toh hai bhi nahi yaar. Ho gaya yaar, nikal gaya mooh se yaar," he said, referring to the fact that the controversy was bigger in people's minds than the actual event.
Gaurav also poked fun at Ranveer's swift apology, which came just two hours after the incident. "Mujhe gire pe laat marna accha nahi lagta par ek baar maar dete hain. Waise Ranveer jo bhai hain, 12 baje controversy hui, 2 baje apology dedi," he joked. Kapoor humorously pointed out that apologizing so quickly seemed out of character, saying, "I don't apologise to my dad so quickly."
The comedian even made light of Ranveer's need to "own up" to the situation, which Kapoor feels led to the escalation. He humorously added that if the incident had happened in Delhi, someone would’ve refused to admit it.
The controversy erupted after remarks made by Ranveer Allahbadia on India's Got Latent with Samay Raina and other panelists. Following the backlash, the episode was deleted, and Allahbadia revealed that he and his family had received death threats. As a result, FIRs were filed in Maharashtra and Assam, and the issue even reached Parliament. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has summoned Allahbadia and the show’s team to appear before it on February 17 in New Delhi.
Kapoor’s followers were quick to praise his clever response to the controversy, with many commending him for turning a serious situation into material for his stand-up. One follower wrote, "Aapda ko aavsar me badal diya bhai ne," while another commented, "Bro cracked the whole controversy."
