Cockroaches were spotted by journalist Tarun Shukla during his journey with IndiGo Airlines. He shared a video on social media which got the attention of the airlines and they provided a response.
IndiGo stated that they recognized a need for sanitization and ensured that action would be implemented. The company has conveyed that the entire fleet would be cleaned as soon as possible, along with disinfection procedures and extensive fumigation.
The airlines voiced “Our staff promptly took the necessary action onboard. As a precautionary measure, we immediately cleaned the entire fleet and carried out fumigation and disinfection procedures. At IndiGo, we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to ensure a safe, hassle-free experience and regret any inconvenience caused to the passengers.”
The proactive and positive response from IndiGo Airlines is an example of good business practice. Being in the hospitality business they understand the need to provide the best customer service possible.
