A church in Andhra Pradesh is featured in a video that went viral on social media, but it has drawn criticism for allegedly using sacred Hindu iconography on its sidewalk tiles. The location that sparked the dispute is the Trinity Diva Mandir, which is situated in the Telugu-speaking state's Mangalapur district.

Breaking down the clip in hand

Several people have posted the video on the internet and voiced their disapproval of the walkway's tile pattern. For those who are unaware, the widely shared video depicts the Andhra church employing the Om and Swatisk signals in a deplorable way. The signs, which are revered in Hinduism, were allegedly used disrespectfully at the other religion's house of worship.  The area where guests would stamp their legs and enter was not covered in tiles by the church, nor was it used on the walls of the sanctum sanctorum. Many people interpreted the film depicting the case as insulting when it appeared online.

Hatred unparalled?

Internet users who saw the video demonstrating the inappropriate use of Hindu symbols were not pleased with this situation. People referred to it as an expression of "explicit hate" since purity symbols were depicted offensively at the Christian site, endangering communal cohesion.

Since the church appeared to be under construction, it is unknown if the tiles had been covered yet. The statement, "A Church in Andhra employs Om and Swastika as tiles for Converted Hindus to walk on," was what went viral with the film and incited many, though. Even though the video's veracity is in doubt, it has appeared on several social media and online venues.

The BJP is no different?

A user on social media with the username 'Jewel Thief' proposed a rebuttal, posting a picture of a BJP figure that looks like Amit Shah on a podium. In the picture, it appears that Shah is standing on a Swastika-embossed stool with his shoes on while addressing the crowds.
