A tragic incident has occurred in Rajasthan's Kota, where a 16-year-old student, Abhishek Singh from Bihar, has died by suicide while preparing for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main. This is the sixth such case in Kota this year. Abhishek left behind a suicide note expressing his inability to cope with the pressure of the exam, stating, "Papa, I can’t handle it. And I will not be able to pass JEE.”

Hailing from Bhagalpur, Bihar, Abhishek has been undergoing JEE preparation in Kota for the past year. Tragically, he consumed celphos poison at his paying guest accommodation and succumbed to it on Friday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dharamveer Singh, Abhishek had been residing in a paying guest facility in Kota's Vigyan Nagar area for around a month. Authorities have informed his family members, and an investigation into the matter has commenced. It was also revealed that Abhishek had missed two exams at his coaching institute on January 29 and February 19.

A Kota girl died in similar circumstances

This incident follows a similar tragedy in January when another JEE aspirant from Kota, an 18-year-old girl, ended her life. In her suicide note, she wrote, "Mummy Papa, I can’t do JEE. So I suicide. I am loser. I worst daughter. Sorry Mummy, Papa. This is the last option I have."

Media reports suggested she was in highly stressed circumstances. She couldn't clear the exams, despite dedicating seven hours to her studies. The unfortunate incident unfolded on January 23.
