New Delhi: In a troubling event in Gajuwaka, Andhra Pradesh, a delivery boy working for BigBasket was violently attacked by an individual claiming to be a Sub Inspector. Despite the adverse weather conditions, including heavy rain, the delivery boy was performing his duties when the assault took place. 

According to reports, the delivery boy was suddenly attacked from behind by a man who claimed to be a police officer, striking him without warning or provocation. The assailant then threw the delivery boy's bags and shouted verbal abuse at him, leaving the victim shaken and reporting the incident to local authorities.

Investigation underway

Witnesses reported that the attacker was aggressive and appeared to have no regard for the delivery boy's safety or the inclement weather. The delivery boy, who was left shaken by the encounter, has since reported the incident to local authorities. 

Local police are now investigating the attack and have taken statements from the delivery boy and any witnesses. The assailant, who identified himself as a Sub Inspector, is under scrutiny as authorities work to verify his credentials and motive.

Account of Vizag City Police also commented to the post, "Dear citizen, He is not a serving officer and he is a retired Reserve Sub Inspector. Necessary action is taken. Thank you." 

Another user of X platform named Damodar wrote in Telugu, Look at that delivery boy's face, that tension, that innocence. He gets 20 rupees per delivery. If there is damage to the goods inside, the manager/supervisor of their warehouse will usually take the class. However, those lines t-shirt are not as proud as Gadikenti, people like this can't hit me, if they hit me, they will never get off the car in the middle of the road.
