New Delhi: Billionaire Elon Musk took to social media today to share an AI-generated video featuring himself and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump dancing to the classic Bee Gees hit "Stayin' Alive." The humorous video, which shows the two high-profile figures grooving to the iconic disco tune, was accompanied by Musk's playful caption: "Do we have great moves or what?"

Originally shared by Utah Senator Mike Lee, the video quickly went viral, amassing over 6.5 million views and more than 3,500 retweets. The clip sparked a range of reactions from viewers. While some users praised the creativity and entertainment value, others highlighted concerns about the growing influence of AI technology. "Somehow this will win votes lol," one user commented, while another declared, "Best video I've seen made to date!" Yet, some users expressed unease, with one stating, "I literally have no clue what's real and what isn't anymore."

The viral video

The video surfaced just days after Trump and Musk held a discussion on X, formerly known as Twitter, where they talked about the 2024 U.S. presidential elections, climate change, and Trump's Democratic opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris. Despite technical glitches and a DDOS attack that delayed the live stream by over 40 minutes, the conversation attracted more than 1.3 million viewers.

Musk reiterated his endorsement of Trump during the discussion, even as Trump outlined his plans for future policies, including the construction of an Iron Dome defense system inspired by Israel's successful implementation of the technology.

The relationship between Trump and Musk has seen its ups and downs, marked by both mutual endorsements and public disagreements. Trump was banned from Twitter after the January 6 Capitol riot but had his account restored by Musk in November 2022 after acquiring the platform. Trump now primarily uses his own social media network, Truth Social, launched in February 2022.
