Advisory Issued by Delhi Jal Board: Water supply storage to occur in these areas

DJB issued an official statement stating that water supply in the command region south Delhi and Palam main supply lines will either not be accessible on Saturday morning or will be available at low pressure due to a failure in the common header supply line. 

The Delhi Jal Board warned on Friday that due to significant maintenance work at the Delhi Cantonment booster pumping station, a significant portion of south Delhi may experience low pressure or no water on Saturday morning.

The following areas could be affected: Greater Kailash, Moti Bagh, Nanak Pura, Vasant Enclave, Shanti Niketan, Westend Colony, Delhi Cantonment, RK Puram, Vasant Vihar, Safdarjung Development Area, JNU, Mehrauli, llT, Green Park, Safdarjung Enclave, Janakpuri, Deer Park, and the command areas of Palam reservoir. 

In a different alert, DJB stated that on March 20, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., water supply will not be accessible in the vicinity of Paschim Vihar, Meera Bagh, Peeragarhi, and neighbouring localities. According to DJB, households are asked to stockpile an adequate amount of water.
