‘I’ll Do Her 13th Day Rituals!’: Husband’s Fury Erupts Over Grandmother’s Elopement with Grandson

Ever since the love story of mother-in-law and son-in-law came to light in Aligarh, many such cases have come to light where married women are leaving their husbands and running away with younger boys and then marrying them. A similar case was also reported from Ambedkar Nagar. Here the grandmother ran away with her own grandson. Then she also married the grandson. Now no one knows where both of them are. But her husband's anger has erupted once again.

The name of the grandmother who ran away with her grandson is Indravati, who is a resident of Pratappur Belvariya Dalit Basti of Baskhari police station area. Indravati's husband Chandrashekhar fumed and said- For me my wife is dead. She can live with whomever she wants. I will perform her thirteenth day rituals. I can live however I want, but I will live without her. I will raise the children too. But I will never accept her now. Despite being a mother of four children, she was not ashamed to run away with a 25-year-old boy. She even got married to him.

Chandrashekhar, a resident of Pratappur Belvariya Dalit Basti, works in another city for the sake of his family. He sends money to his family from there. But 10 days ago, his wife suddenly disappeared. It was revealed that his wife Indravati was having an affair with a young man living in the same village.

We got married 20 years ago'

Indravati herself is 52 years old. Whereas, her lover is 25 years old. Chandrashekhar said- I was married to Indravati 20 years ago. This was Indravati's second marriage. She was married once before this also, but she was separated from her husband. After marriage with me, we had three children. One girl and two boys. Whereas, Indravati has a daughter from her first husband. Indravati got her daughter married two years ago by mortgaging my land.

'My wife wanted to kill me'

Chandrashekhar said- Indravati had lost interest in me for some time. She did not even talk to me properly. We had quarrels over this many times. My wife and her lover were planning to kill us. But I got a hint of this, due to which they could not succeed in their plan. After this, she ran away with her grandson. I complained to the police station two days ago. The police said that if both of them want to live together then we cannot do anything. Then without fear of family and society, both of them reached Govind Saheb temple and got married.
