'Be your own sugar daddy': Chahal's sassy T-shirt at divorce hearing with Dhanashree Verma goes VIRAL

Maharashtra: Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma arrived at court the Bombay Court on Thursday for their divorce hearing. Although the estranged couple's arrival created a media buzz, it was Yuzvendra's t-shirt that caught everyone's attention.

His t-shirt has made social media users think it's a veiled jibe at Dhanashree. Dhanashree will get Rs 4.75 crore as alimony from Yuzvendra as ordered by the family court to seal the divorce. Internet reacts to Yuzvendra's 'sugar daddy' t-shirt.

Responding to Yuzvendra's t-shirt, one user commented in the comments, "Nice t-shirt," with laughing emojis. Another one commented saying, "T-shirt jaan kar pehni heii (The t-shirt was worn intentionally)." Someone also commented, "Bhai khel gaya Tshirt pehen k (well played brother)." Earlier there were rumors that Dhanashree had asked for an alimony of Rs 60 crore from Yuzvendra. But Bar and Bench quoted their terms of consent, which explained that Yuzvendra Chahal had offered permanent alimony of Rs 4 crore 75 lakhs to Dhanashree Verma.

But Yuzvendra Chahal is reported to have paid only Rs 2 crore, 37 lakhs and 55 thousand, so far. The Bombay High Court exempted the compulsory six-month cooling-off period under the Hindu Marriage Act, permitting Yuzvendra and Dhanashree to go for their mutual consent divorce without delay. The court viewed the non-payment of the remaining amount as a case of non-compliance. It is reported to be the reason behind the rejection of the cooling-off plea.

Yuzvendra and Dhanashree's divorce

Yuzvendra and Dhanashree got married in 2020. They have been living apart for nearly a year now. At the same time, Yuzvendra Chahal's attorney, Nitin Kumar Gupta, confirmed that the court has formally approved Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma's divorce. Gupta, who is representing Chahal, stated, "The court has granted the decree of divorce. The court has accepted the joint petition of both parties. The parties are no longer husband and wife."
