This would enable users to see videos that have been shared within the app among contacts in a picture-in-picture section. This bears similarity to the picture-in-picture functionality accessible through WhatsApp while viewing shared videos from YouTube and Instagram. According to the report, you can only view WhatsApp media videos picture-in-picture using the WhatsApp app you cannot access them through any other app. This implies that you can view a video that a contact of yours sent you, exit the conversation, and participate in other groups or chats on WhatsApp while the video in question keeps playing in a smaller window. Additionally, it stated that it is still not ready and is under development. Thus, a public release might not happen very soon.
