Thirteen-year-old Willis Gibson accomplished what no human had done before - he reached the final "kill screen" in the classic Nintendo version of Tetris. Known as "blue scuti," the intense session left him breathless and his fingers numb after manipulating the falling puzzle blocks at lightning speed.

Willis recorded over 40 minutes of tense gameplay before finally triggering the game-ending glitch at level 157. He screamed repeatedly in shock and joy as fellow Tetris fans watched the milestone moment unfold live online.

"I can't feel my fingers," he adds breathlessly.

First Person to Outplay the Code

Experts believed surpassing level 29 was humanly impossible due to the blocks descending too rapidly. But Willis utilised new strategies to smash through that barrier and continue climbing.

Previously only artificial intelligence programs managed to overload the 1980s code underlying Tetris. By snapping that last fateful block into position, Willis achieved a historic solo triumph once thought inconceivable.

Tetris Community Celebrates

Upon realising Willis reached uncharted territory, enthusiastic reactions exploded within the competitive Tetris scene. Defending champion Justin "fractal161" Yu shouted gleefully mid-stream, "He did it!"

Maya Rogers, CEO of the Tetris Company also released a statement commending the teen phenom's unbelievable accomplishment leading into Tetris' 40th anniversary next year.

"Congratulations to 'blue scuti' for achieving this extraordinary accomplishment, a feat that defies all preconceived limits of this legendary game," the statement said

"It's never been done by a human before," Classic Tetris World Championship president Vince Clemente also said, as per media reports.

Willis has redefined perceived limitations right before a major milestone. At just 13 years old, Willis Gibson has etched his name into Tetris legend. His superhuman reflexes and mental stamina brought the classic game to a fitting halt. Where can he go from here? One thing is certain - the Tetris universe will never be the same.
