Twitter Blue which was earlier available in other countries, is now available in India also for users. On the website and mobile app, the paid service, which offers the desired and now tainted blue tick mark, denoting validity, costs INR 650 and INR 900 per month, respectively.
Also, as an additional offer, if you are planning to go for an annual subscription, you can save Rs 1000 on your pocket. So, instead of paying Rs 7,800 you just need to pay Rs 6800.
Twitter Blue comes with lots of new and additional features for the users. Features like tweet editing, bookmark folders, special app icons, and NFT profile pictures will be available first to members. These users will also be able to prioritise their tweet replies, choose from a variety of colour themes for their app, and delete a tweet before it is seen by other users.
Additionally, the user will be able to publish longer movies and advertisements will be cut in half. While other users are only limited to 280 characters, Twitter Blue subscribers will get the limit of 4,000.
Prior to India, Twitter made this service accessible in a number of other countries, including the US, UK, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, and France.
Additionally, before Twitter Blue was introduced, the blue tick was given to real accounts of public personalities including politicians, actors, and athletes. But today, anybody who pays the monthly fee can get the checkmark through Twitter Blue.
Users can send and reply to texts, photographs, and videos known as “tweets” on Twitter, an online social media and social networking service owned and operated by the American corporation Twitter, Inc. Unregistered users can only watch public tweets, but registered users can tweet, like, “retweet,” and send direct messages (DMs). Through its APIs, frontend apps for mobile devices, or web browsers, users can connect with Twitter programmatically.
