After years of speculation, Google finally revealed the Pixel Tablet at its I/O conference in May 2022. At the unveiling, Google was quite vague, and the company has continued to be mum on any official information on the coming tablet.
And now Google is set to host its annual developer conference, I/O 2023 on May 10, this year. During this event, Google may announce multiple hardware and software developments. It is also anticipated that Google may also announce some of the launched in the Android 14 OS and the Pixel 7a mid-range smartphone at the upcoming event. Along with this, Google is also expected to launch its first-ever foldable, Pixel Fold and its first-ever tablet, the Pixel Tablet at the same event.
As per sources, the pixel tablet is expected to be priced between 600 euros to 650 euros for the European markets and Rs 54,000 to Rs 58,500 for Indian markets. If we compare the Pixel 7, it is priced at 649 euros, whereas in the US it sells at USD 599.
Similar amounts were charged for Google’s earlier tablets, but the company has a history of overcharging for subpar technology.
Sources say, that the Pixel Tablet is designed with premium materials and finishes, as well as smooth, rounded corners that make it an unmistakable part of the Pixel family. With its gorgeous display, you can enjoy your favourite shows, apps, video calls, and more on a larger screen.
Thanks to the front-facing camera that is positioned in the middle of its longest side, as is the case with many current Android tablets, the Pixel Tablet appears to be designed to be used horizontally rather than vertically by default.
The Pixel Tablet brings the power of Tensor G2 to an all-new form factor for the first time. With Tensor G2’s advanced image processing and machine learning, all your favourite Pixel phone features, like video calling, photo editing, and hands-free help with Google Assistant, will work seamlessly on the Pixel Tablet.
Like your Pixel phone, the Pixel Tablet has Material You, so you can completely personalize it with a custom colour palette and new colour variants based on your wallpaper and lock screens. Just like your Pixel 7 and Google Pixel Watch, your tablet can be the truest representation of you.
Sources also say that the Charging Speaker Dock which cost around 129 euros might be bundled along with the Pixel tablet. The dock keeps your device charged, makes your tablet helpful 24/7, and unlocks a whole new set of experiences in the home.
The enhanced audio from the speaker lets you enjoy your favourite show or have a dance party. When your Pixel Tablet is docked, you can enjoy hands-free help from the Assistant or a photo frame of your memories.
The Pixel Tablet also gives you easy control of all your smart home devices, so you can turn the lights off in the house, and set the thermostat to the perfect sleep temperature without getting out of bed.
According to sources, the Pixel Tablet will be available in three colour variations. Both a white/very light pink hue and a light green design are seen in Google’s official renderings. In the leaked photos on social media, a Pixel Tablet in a more charcoal-black hue can be seen. The Pixel Tablet will reportedly come in a total of four colours; however, no official information has been shared so far. Although Google often includes at least one colourful colour for each of its devices, tablet colour selections are typically very plain, so we’re still hoping to see something daring from Google.
