Redmi A5 launched, priced at just Rs 6,499, will have a 5200mAh battery with 15W charging support

Tech News:  Xiaomi has launched its new entry-level smartphone Redmi A5 in the Indian market. Redmi A5 comes with advanced features like 120Hz high refresh rate display, 32-megapixel AI dual camera system and a powerful processor. The 3GB + 64GB storage variant of Redmi A5 is priced at Rs 6,499 and the 4GB + 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 7,499. The smartphone is available for sale from today on e-commerce site Flipkart, Mi.com, Xiaomi retail and offline stores.

Big screen and strong performance

The Redmi A5 smartphone comes with a large 6.88 -inch HD IPS LCD display, which supports 1640 x 720 pixels resolution. This display provides a smooth experience with 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. For the protection of the eyes, it also has a certification of Tüv Rheinland. The device has a 1.8 GHz speed octa-core Unisoc T7250 chipset, which has been prepared on 12Nm process. Mali-G57 MP1 GPU is present for graphics. This smartphone comes in 3GB and 4GB LPDDR4X RAM variants, with 64GB and 128GB EMMC 5.1 storage. Storage can be increased to 2TB with the help of microSD card. This phone runs on Android 15 and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
