PS5 Slim Launch: The PlayStation 5, which launched in the US in November of last year, will be available in India starting on April 5 according to an announcement from Sony. This week, the PS5 slim disc and digital editions will be available for purchase nationwide and stock availability at participating retailers was recently confirmed. Much of the PlayStation 5 design language remains intact with the lighter and thinner PS5 Slim, which also has a detachable disc drive and somewhat more storage than the original PlayStation 5.PS5 Slim PricingThe pricing for PS5 Slim was also confirmed by Sony in India, with the console selling at the same price as the current version of PS5. The disc version of the PS5 Slim will cost Rs. 54,990, while the digital edition is priced at Rs. 44,990. The PS5 slim disc drive will be sold separately for customers who will buy the digital edition.PS5 Storage DetailsAlong with relatively more internal storage, the slimmer model of PS5 now has 1TB instead of the ordinary models 825GB custom SSD. Customers can also upgrade their PS5 slim digital edition console by adding an external UHD Blu-ray disc drive. However, the new variants graphical and processing power are matching to those of the original PS5.PS5 Pro LeaksSony as per some reports is readying a “Pro” version of PS5 for launch later this year as the current console generation enters the latter half of its life cycle. As per the analysts statement in February, the Japanese electronics giant was looking to get an updated version of PS5 Pro ready in time for the release of Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto 6, which is all set to arrive in 2025.
