OnePlus Ace 3 (OnePlus 12R): specifications leaked online ahead of potential launch

OnePlus Ace 3 (OnePlus 12R): Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch its new handset in the first week of January 2024, according to industry sources. The device will be marketed as the OnePlus 12R in India and other global markets.

OnePlus has already confirmed the OnePlus 12 series will debut in India alongside other regions on 23 January, marking the first time an 'R' series model will be available outside India.

According to a post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 3 will initially launch in China on 4 January 2023. The leaks also claim the phone will feature a metal frame with premium texture and be powered by last year's flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.

Additional leaks suggest the Ace 3 will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate enabled through LTPO technology. The panel will purportedly offer peak brightness of 4500 nits and 2160 Hz PVM dimming support.

The OnePlus Ace 3 is expected to carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and adopt a circular rear camera module similar to the OnePlus 12, as per MySmartPrice.

Built on a 4nm process, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor may be paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Other rumored specs include a glass and metal body, a 5500mAh battery with 100W fast charging, and OxygenOS 14 over Android 14 in India with ColorOS 14 in China.
