Salil Parekh has worked in the IT services sector for more than three decades. He currently serves on the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Council, which represents the nation’s top businesses.

With a long history of employment in the Indian and international IT sectors, Parekh delivers expertise that drives the company’s strategic orientation. Parekh has held a number of prominent positions in large corporations worldwide. He served in a number of key roles on the board of Capgemini. He oversaw the company’s tech division, cloud infrastructure services, and application services.

He has also led the position of Partner at Ernst and Young. He studied Aeronautical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He is one of the highest paying CEO of country.

Infosys significantly raised his pay in year 2022, by a stunning 88 percent. His yearly salary had been Rs. 42.50 crore. His total compensation package after the raise was Rs 79.75 crore, which comes to more than Rs 21 lakh per day. To put Salil Parekh on par with his counterparts at other leading Indian IT companies, his pay was raised to 88 percent.

A company’s annual report states that CEO compensation has been overhauled in comparison with companies such as Accenture, IBM, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant.

As CEO and MD, Salil Parekh establishes and develops the company’s strategic direction and the portfolio of offerings while developing a capable leadership team to carry it out. Salil has almost three decades of experience working throughout the globe in the IT services sector, and he has a proven track record of guiding businesses through digital transformation, implementing company turnarounds, and overseeing fruitful acquisitions. He serves as the Confederation of Indian Industry’s National Council (CII).

Earlier, he was a member of the Group Executive Board in Capgemini for 25 years, where he was responsible for overseeing a business cluster compromising Application service (North America, United Kingdom, Asia), Cloud Infrastructure services. He was also the Chairman of the Capgemini’s North America Executive Council. In January 2018, Parekh took over from interim Chief Executive Officer U B Pravin Rao. Salil Parekh was also Partner at Ernst & Young and widely credited for bringing scale and value to the Indian operations of the consultancy firm.
