According to Microsoft officials, it is been asserted that the search engine is better than its rival Google. The company has claimed that India has emerged as one of the top three markets for Microsoft’s New Bing preview, which has ChatGPT incorporated into it. Powered by Chat GPT, Microsoft launched the new Bing preview on February 7. ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022.

Microsoft in an official statement said, “Search has changed and will change. It’s not going away. Just like when television came into existence, radio didn’t go away, but TV got a lot more excitement. The same will happen here. The new capabilities of AI of chat of answers are now increasingly exciting because they’re helping answer questions that search didn’t do. And with Bing, we are unique in that leadership today.”

Additionally, it is asserted that Bing’s aesthetic features, such as the new knowledge cards, have enhanced search results. According to the official, Google does not provide the distinctive elements of the new Bing preview, such as knowledge cards and storefronts. In contrast to Google’s strategy, which includes a separate chat product called Bard that is independent of Google search, Bing is one integrated product. The new Bing has been receiving very positive feedback from Indian users. The Microsoft official further said that the feedback is overwhelmingly positive as people prefer it as a new way to search, not just the answers, but the ability to chat and search. That’s an important thing because it marks a difference between us and Google. He further added that according to Google, chat has nothing to do with search and they both are separate platform products. But we think that it is an integrated product. The company also believes that the latest development will also have an impact on the news industry as well.

Bing Chat is now on Android via SwiftKey

Bing Chat AI has now been added by Microsoft to the SwiftKey Android keyboard. As a result, SwiftKey Beta users will now have instant access to Bing Chat. Users of Android smartphones can interact with the AI-powered chatbot by simply touching a button in any app. With the new integration, SwiftKey will support both tone mode, which will rewrite text from within the keyboard, and Bing Chat in the standard chat form. With the new SwiftKey upgrade, users can now access the chatbot from anywhere, effectively replacing the Bing Mobile app.

How to install it?

To access the new Bing Chat integration, users will need to download the beta version of SwiftKey on the Google Play Store. As of now, there is no confirmation when it will come to iOS. However, the CTO of mobile and commerce at Microsoft, said that the feature will be rolled out gradually.

For some reason, Microsoft has discontinued its support for SwiftKey on iOS for some time. But users can still see the application in the play store app. It also seems that Microsoft will soon bring its AI-powered toll to meet stiff competition among similar tools.

AI Image Creator now at Edge

With all these features, Microsoft is also bringing the DALL-E-powered AI image generator to the desktop for Edge users. The feature was introduced in March and is known as Bing Image Creator. For using the feature, the user simply needs to write what they want to generate using the feature. According to the latest announcement, the feature will be available to a wider audience soon.

According to the official blog by the company, users will be needed to manually add the image creator to the sidebar to use it. “When using Image Creator in Microsoft Edge for the first time, you’ll need to enable it in the Edge sidebar by clicking the ‘plus’ icon and turning on the toggle key for Image Creator.”
