Elon Musk is again up with an exciting offer, this time it’s for journalists! Yes! The owner of the micro-blogging site has appealed to publish directly on X (formerly known as Twitter). He also promised to give higher pay and more freedom to write but only if the journalists opt for publishing directly on this social medial platform.

Elon Musk offers journalists new opportunity

Offering an opportunity for journalists, Elon Musk said, “If you’re a journalist who wants more freedom to write and a higher income, then publish directly on this platform.”

Earlier, he talked about plans to allow media publishers on X to charge users to read their articles. Users will be charged on a ‘per article basis’ and will end up paying more if they don’t sign up for a monthly subscription, Musk said.

However, such changes are yet to be seen on the platform.

AFP files copyright case against X

Meanwhile, Elon Musk-owned X has now faced a copyright case in France by the AFP news agency, which comes amid calls from media groups to share profits from social media posts.

The news agency said that it has filed the case to force X to hand over data that would allow it to estimate a fair level of compensation.
