Threads API: In a recent update, Instagram's Head, Adam Mosseri, revealed that the company is in the process of developing a Threads Application Programming Interface (API).

This move is intended to facilitate developers in creating diverse applications and experiences linked to Threads, as reported by TechCrunch.

Balancing Content Types

In an Instagram post, Mosseri shared, "We're working on it. My concern is that it'll mean a lot more publisher content and not much more creator content, but it still seems like something we need to get done."

Threads Grows to 100 Million Monthly Active Users

Meta recently announced that Threads has achieved a milestone of 100 million monthly active users. While the introduction of an API and a third-party app ecosystem may not significantly impact this figure, it will offer users additional avenues to engage with the platform.

Threads' Journey So Far

Threads, originally launched by Mark Zuckerberg in July as a competitor to Twitter, faced challenges shortly after its release. Reports surfaced indicating that Threads experienced a loss of over half its initial subscribers.
