Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang predicts humanoid robots will become a ubiquitous presence in factories in the near future. Addressing Nvidia's annual developer conference in San Jose, California, he announced new software tools that can improve robotic navigation and capabilities. Refuting the notion that extensive use is five years off, Huang says it's merely a few years away.
Huang highlighted that factory plants will be the initial places to incorporate humanoid robots. Their organized environments and repetitive processes make them perfect for automation, enabling AI-driven robots to operate effectively in controlled environments.
Speaking of the economic viability, Huang estimated that leasing a humanoid robot would be approximately $100,000. This amount, he posited, makes them an economically sound substitute for human labor, further cementing their ability to revolutionize industrial processes.
