Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk in his latest move launched a new feature on the social media platform ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter. The new feature being added will post job listings exclusively for verified organisations on the micro-blogging platform and will enter the domain of professional networking.

For the time being a beta version of Hiring will be released. The official ‘X’ handle of Hiring shared a post on Saturday. “Unlock early access to the X Hiring Beta — exclusively for Verified Organizations. Feature your most critical roles and organically reach millions of relevant candidates.” said the post.

A screenshot shared alongside the tweet mentioned the listings that will be placed under the section “We’re Hiring”, which can be found under the bio of the company’s account.

More about new ‘X’ feature

These job postings will connect prospective candidates to their preferred organisation’s website, where they may find out more about the position and submit an application. Reports say the feature will be available to premium users for a monthly payment of $1000 (Rs 82,300).

Musk was hinting at this upcoming feature in May itself when he responded to a user’s suggestion to include dating services in ‘X’ (Twitter). Mr. Musk said, “Interesting idea, maybe jobs too”. Moreover, the addition of this new feature might pose as a challenge to job search websites such as LinkedIn even though not immediately as per a report published by CNBC.

Observers are calling this initiative as Musk’s attempt to turn ‘X’ into an ‘everything app’. This move indicates X’s intention to widen its scope and adopt multiple roles in the field of technology.

Musk posts son on ‘X’

Recently, Musk had also shared a picture of his son X Æ A-XI, on the platform of ‘X’ where the child is seen standing in front of a prominent X logo. Musk’s son lovingly known as Lil X can be seen being donned in a white t-shirt along with knee-length khaki pants.

In the picture, Musk’s son is also holding a tumbler in his hand and can be seen with a wide smile on his face as he gazes directly at the camera. The scene has been captured perfectly as he can be seen posing in front of a large white X emblem displayed on a black wall
